" Intel is trying - with their new StrongARM chips, and even Pentium chips - but they are very late to come to the party. MIPS and Sun/Sparc and a host of others have been mining this "ore" for a long time. Intel had "worked the issue" back in the early 1990's when Set Top Boxes were the rage and everybody was hoarding beer and chips in preparation for the "500 channel" set top box/cable TV. Paul
