Scott,
Hi!!!
Market share in the high end is one of the focal points DELL told us about last summer at the briefing...the servers being the huge push by the DELL sales reps for this year...their incentives are so high it wouldn't surprise me if that is all they tried to sell.... :o) One sales rep told me that "I can't afford NOT to push servers"....Well, you've heard my comments about the size of the new server facility...I really didn't expect DELL to build something that big and then not have the confidence to have a strategy to market them...Simply...You can't afford not to do business with DELL...

"Dell has been winning market share on the high end," said Paul Mansky, an associate analyst at Piper Jaffray. "It would not be out of the realm of reasonable thought that Dell could squeeze Compaq out for the winning share,"

Best, Kemble
