Richard, when a central bank "lends" out gold, does actual metal get moved, or just a piece of paper with a promise? What are the compensations for the bank to lend the metal, and the collateral used by the borrower? Does the metal have to be "returned" at the lend price equivalent, or simply returned by weight of metal borrowed? Thanks.
