One of the big things Pete K did say is that with the Genesis engine, they will be offering payments person to person for such things as auctions..Instead of "you got bills", "you got money"....

The street more-or-less yawned at the announcement. Volume weak. Some folks who decided they didn't like the new plan bailed. While I'm not thrilled about losing 40&cent in FY2000, since its an internet initiative, the Street must understand this is necessary: damn the profits, full steam ahead!

Most here have lusted after increased exposure to consumers of the benefits of EBP...well CheckFree wants the same thing, and is willing to pay for the exposure costs. I think its a good thing, and I think the Street will come around to that way of thinking soon enough. Takes a few minutes to adjust to the transition from profits to no profits. If nothing else, the profitless FY2000 is a sort of internet pedigree. :-)
