Through Mail.com

Business Editors & Technology Writers

PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 15, 1999--EarthLink
(NASDAQ:ELNK), one of the nation's largest Internet Service Providers
(ISPs), Tuesday announced a partnership with Mail.com Inc., a global
provider of Internet messaging services, to provide EarthLink members
with universal access to their EarthLink-addressed e-mail through any
Internet-connected PC.
EarthLink's new Web-based e-mail feature, free to its
million-plus members, is slated to launch in mid-July.
Using Mail.com's powerful online Web interface, EarthLink members
can seamlessly access their e-mail from the Internet simply by typing
in their existing EarthLink address and password from any
browser-enabled PC. Ideal for Net surfers at work or on the go, this
flexible service will allow EarthLink members to access their address
books, multiple folders and signature files -- even if the PC they're
using doesn't have Internet access through EarthLink.
"E-mail communication remains the No. 1 consumer Internet
application," said Howard Lefkowitz, EarthLink's vice president of
business development and Internet marketing. "To this end, our
utilization of Mail.com's Web-based e-mail service further extends the
versatility and value of our service. It's another tool to help
EarthLink members get the most out of the Internet, and that's what
EarthLink is all about."
"Mail.com is excited to be working with EarthLink to provide its
members with the most convenient way to access their EarthLink e-mail
anytime, from anywhere," said Lon Otremba, Mail.com's chief operating
officer. "This exciting service is ideal for mobile professionals or
any e-mail user who requires a faster, more efficient way to overcome
the frustration of trying to manage their e-mail account remotely,"
Otremba added.
The latest company to join EarthLink's list of "Premiere
Partners," Mail.com will receive prominent advertising and promotional
opportunities across the variety of online and print media integrated
into the EarthLink user experience.
A significant incremental revenue driver for EarthLink, the
Premiere Partnership program is designed to deliver marketing reach
and frequency to Premiere Partners, familiarize EarthLink's active
member base with Premiere Partner products and services, and enhance
each EarthLink member's Internet experience.
EarthLink's current roster of Premiere Partners includes:
ABCNews.com, About.com, Amazon.com, BigStar.com, CNN, eBay, ESPN.com,
E-TRADE, HotBot/Wired Digital, InfoSpace.com, CBS MarketWatch, MBNA,
