Very difficult to get through two inconsistent accounts of creation boiled into one. I want to read attested credos, as evidence of the faith that other people hold. I don't think many people are willing to take that oath. I've never heard any declare on oath that they believe every word of the Bible to be absolutely true. I am willing to take an affirmation that I don't believe the Bible is the word of any god (and hereby do so). Why do people refuse to take an oath? Can you swear on your head and hope of your salvation? Why won't you? I want to know if anyone really believes the stuff they force on other people. I don't see the harm. Such attestations might convince someone else. It would help me to believe that you really believe and help me plumb the depths of human credulity.

Dan I have a few more questions about Lot's daughters and the Angels who saved them. Why did the Angels save them? Didn't they know they would cause Lot to sin? Wasn't his sin of getting drunk and having sex with his daughters worse than his wife's curiosity? Why would God favor a drunk guilty of filthy incest over a curious woman? You sure Genesis is God's word? I get really confused over the old testament and have more on Genesis but will ask a little at a time.
