I ask you only to be thorough and honest to yourself in your search for knowledge. Don't rely on others who cannot explain or demonstrate. One thing I liked about your earlier credo was its clarity and originality -- that it emerged from your experience and was not some tale told by someone else to you. You recall that I did not scoff or giggle. It was not a revelation to fool me, but to you that helped you comprehend. I think many people who grasp for faith from charlatans are people in such deep need that they dare not be critical or selective. They need care and love from somewhere and will take whatever appears to meet their needs. Sometimes it helps them hang on. Sometimes it kills them.
