Comments on the Tidewater - Hvide deal?? Tidewater agreed to buy a significant portion of Hvide fleet including six newbuilds. Both stocks are up today, especially Hvide. I had thought that TDW might buy Hvide in the manner of the FGI/HMAR merger. But this is not the case. Is this a good time to grab Hvide?? Does this give them enough breathing room/cash to recover?? I would think that TDW could take more market share from Hvide and slowly eat them for lunch. You have to love TDW's balance sheet.
