Rose, this is not as good an answer as Jenna would give, but two tools that can give you a heads-up on behind-the-scenes action in the market are Investor's Business Daily, which displays a "relative strength" rating for each stock in terms of earnings per share, relative price strength, industry-group relative strength, and amount of accumulation vs. distribution. The financial pages of your nearest metropolitan area newspaper probably also contain option prices and the amount of "open interest" which has been sold for each stock at various price levels.
