Go2Net hires Thomas Camp as vice president of business development

SEATTLE, June 15, 1999 - Go2Net, Inc. (Nasdaq: GNET), a network of
branded, technology- and community-driven Web sites, today announced the appointment of Thomas Camp as vice president of business development.
Camp comes to Go2Net from the Boston-based law firm of Hutchins, Wheeler & Dittmar, where he represented Go2Net in several of its most
significant business transactions, ranging from the company's recent
$300 million investment from Paul Allen and Vulcan Ventures, Inc. to its acquisitions of IQC (http://www.iqc.com), Haggle Online
(http://www.haggle.com) and Virtual Avenue (http://www.virtualave.net/).

"Tom Camp brings a proven wealth of business development expertise in
the Internet sector and a deep understanding of Go2Net and our emerging business opportunities," said Russell C. Horowitz, Go2Net Chief Executive Officer. "He's been highly involved in many of our most important business transactions to-date and we're very excited to have him joining Go2Net on a full-time basis."

Camp will direct Go2Net's business development efforts and play a
leading role in the company's acquisitions, strategic partnerships and
investments. He also will oversee the growth and day-to-day operations
of Go2Net's business development department. Camp has significant
experience in areas including business acquisitions and dispositions,
venture capital investments, and public and private company financing.
In addition to his work on behalf of Go2Net, Camp has represented a host of other public and private companies and private equity firms,
including CMG@Ventures, Summit Partners, Thomas H. Lee Company, Advent
International, General Nutrition Companies, Inc., Mercury Computer
Systems, Inc., and Concentra Managed Care, Inc. He received an MBA from Boston College Graduate School of Management, a JD from Boston College Law School, and a BA from Tufts University.
