I doubt it. You need either the box-top or the title page from the manual and a dated sales receipt.

You just gotta be selective. Only buy from people with a LONG list of priors and overwhelming bias of good reports. I've talked to a lot of people who've done well with ebay.

Definitely flame the guy on the feedback board and then send him threatening letters regarding federal mail fraud, etc... <g>

Are you referring to Office 97? The only software that you purchase today that I know of that will serve as a prequel to Windows 2000 is Windows NT 4.0

You could get the upgrade edition of Office 2000 if you already have a copy of Office 97. However, at $300 it's still pretty stiff.

On another note, I noticed there's now 3 different Office packages...Standard, Professional, and Deluxe. (Which has pretty much every Microsoft application ever made) <g>
