My particular nationality or ethnicity is roughly as follows. I've got at least four or five nationalities on each side of my family. Dutch, English, French, German, Scottish, and...?? Trying to figure what I'm most of would be nigh meaningless as it would be a small percentage. Besides, genetically, you never know what is dominant...my brothers skin is dark enough to clearly imply that an Indian gene really burst out in him- while my sister is fair, and I am in-between. I could scarcely be more of a mutt. I've got a fifth great Grandmother who was in fact a full blooded Delaware Indian(a peaceful tribe:-)). A female relative of mine traveled from Ohio to Washington State on her own in the mid-1800's to meet and marry a man she'd only known through letters...and she had some fear of Indian attack along the way. There is even unproven rumor, according to my father, that there could be a Negro in my woodpile of ancestors, though if so, you'd never know it for looking at any family member alive in this century.
