Just when things couldn't get any crazier...Global Crossing Denies Speculation It Will Offer to Buy IXC Bloomberg News June 15, 1999, 11:44 a.m. PT New York, June 15 (Bloomberg) -- Global Crossing Ltd. said it isn't considering making an offer to acquire IXC Communications Inc. Speculation of a bid is ''absolutely untrue,'' a Global Crossing spokesman said. Dan Dorfman, in his JagNotes.com column, said Global Crossing may bid as much as $1.8 billion for IXC.
