No comment on OrCAD, just another acquisition to strengthen their hold on another area. But this should give some kick tomorrow:

Would anyone care to comment on the Orcad deal?

OrCad has very large installed user base with they're schematic capture and Pspice (formerly MicroSim Pspice) and quite a few seats of their PCB Layout software. IMO I don't really see why Cadence would be after Orcads PCB layout package, I see Cadence even possibly phasing that package out in the future because Cadence had previously entered into the CAD midrange market. I see Cadence really wanting the very popular Pspice simulation program that would nicely complement their midrange software. I think this is a very strong move for Cadence and I would not want to be their competition right now.
