But this gaining and losing confidence that is going on is totally irrational. What else is new. -s- I can't figure it out other than a coin flip with an upwards bias. -ng- I was thinking the margin calls would be due by close of biz Thursday, and the blood would be let on Friday morning, if it ever will be. There is some flexibility in practice. And I doubt there is actually much of a problem out there other than a few little guys and the big hedge funds. Can't call a hedge fund cause they are too big to bring down according to EasyAl and SlickWilly, and the little guys are small potatoes other than on the margin of trading in the spec stocks. If the bonds don't do something no equity hurt will come. BIDKJS

Margin calls will be due by Friday. Why do you say that? Margin calls are 3-days right, so assuming the bloodbath yesterday is what caused the problem.... I guess you don't think there will be any cpi-related rally? I was expecting further downside today and didn't get it, it surprised me too, just trying to get a read on things. Maybe I should just ask Luc the almighty mkt direction oracle... is he still in tent-city or has he moved up to the batcave at the Austin zoo anybody know? Arent cellphones wonderful no matter where he goes... hes right there
