Eligibility...

This is CMGIs answer to my e-mail:

CMGI will be mailing out a letter to shareholders very shortly detailing the
specific terms of eligibility and participation for the Direct Share
Program.

Jenne, To be eligible you have to be (a) a "Dumbkoft" who wants to buy
more of this kind of crap; and/or (b) willing to continue to throw
more good money after bad. Sorry, I couldn't resist. You folks continue to see this IPO thing as some wonderful opportunity. I
would view it as a confirmation that the IPO window is rapidly
closing and that Mssrs. Weatheral & Co. lining up other ducks (in this
case you) to nail.
regards,
John

Jenne, Just a guess but CMGI is basing their DSSP on Safeguard's (SFE) plan. In that paln the ratiofor ICGE is 10 to 1 and you need to have at least 500 shares to buy any directly. They do not want to deal with people owninbg less tha 50 shares. I'm sure thayt CMGI fels the same. If you own fewer than the 500 shares you can participate through a trust that SFE is setting up to buy the small lots. My guesss is that CMGI will wait to see how that works before giving details.

CMGI's float is far more than SFE so I expect the ratios to be higher than SFEs if any non-CMGI holders are to get any stock. (SFE is reserving 20% of the offering for their shareholders and that seems reasonable)

Anyway we will know soon enough

Larry
