Paul V,

Contrary to Thread belief, I'm not the real Foreman of the AMAT StairCase Construction Workers... but I serve as the Supervisor of my Spy who in turn spies on the Workers. The Workers, although leisurely lumbering along, are On Schedule to build the Risers and Steps above 71 5/8.

In other words: ---

AMAT's Hi and close for today is at 67 3/8 --- surpassing the 67 1/4 point of YoYo Release 18 trading days ago. The 5-day YoYo Drop to 52 3/4 represents about a 22% decline. It's not clear yet if we got the YoYo Catch at 67 3/8 today; let's find out tomorrow... (a YoYo Drop of about 8 to 11% is expected after a Catch in a Transitional Mode from a Landing to an Up StairCase Mode).

The Bears seem Not too enthusiastic to sell their wares at lower prices this time; the Bulls meanwhile seem to have been pampered into buying at lower prices --- thus we see not much movement of the stock... (If only the Bears like SSB et al Sell again or Sell Short then we Bulls will have something to Dip on before the Run Up...)

Anyway, let's see How ORCL's Hi earnings and the CPI's numbers will affect the Market tomorrow...

John Murphy was on CNBC today and talked about AMAT's potential breakout to new highs

He pointed out that the upside measurement if the old highs are taken out is $85 per share.

My question is this: What about fundamentals? Seems to me that the valuation is a little rich. I see that Yahoo shows expectations for EPS growth of 33% this year, 71% next year. Is that realistic?

Also...why was there so much insider selling of AMAT in April?
