To me it looked more like someone who had written a huge position (probably when we traded in the 42..49 zigzag range) at a price in the $3..4 range covered his bases and bought them back. With the high volatility lately, and the woes about interest rates, etc, the decision may have been to simply not take any chances to get the shares called even if it reduced the profit a few percents.

I followed it rather closely, as I am one of the unlucky idiots :-) to buy a few of them when we went through the $59 mark. Oh, well, Puts are a looser game with a growth stock like this, and zigzags don't go on forever...
