AMD Announces Completion of Sale of Vantis

(NYSE: AMD - news) today announced the completion of the sale of Vantis Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of AMD, to Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: LSCC - news). The parties signed the definitive purchase agreement for the sale of Vantis Corporation to Lattice on April 21, 1999. AMD received approximately $500,000,000 in cash from Lattice as consideration for the sale, subject to certain adjustments.

Sorry - you're right.

I wrote it.

The AMD ISSCC paper stated the same thing - although they too did not use ONLY.

But they did state (they being the legendary, beloved Dirk Meyer, et. al.) "the K7 uses a 2.5 volt Vcc which is reduced on-chip to 1.6 volts FOR THE PLL CLOCK "
