Good trading is a lot different than gambling... different psychology altogether. Poor trading can overlap... not to say you can't enjoy both!

Abel's books come to mind... the disciplined trader, Zen of trading, etc. Others will probably have some ideas.

Usually the kind of problems you describe are caused by entering on arbitrary (gut-feel) setups, then as a consequence not having stops you believe in, etc. Good sound methodology can fix it. See www.pristine.com, etc. -Steve
