Wayne,
Well said about NYC being one of the world's greatest cities and worst cities at the same time. I still have fond memories of working there as an advertising messenger for a major NJ paper in 1969, and still remember spotting John Denver walking around with a suitcase, and Jack Lemmon practicing in the middle of the street shouting like a crazy man for his part in "The Out of Towners". He was real good, and had me fooled that he was some homeless nutcase as he complained to me up close and personal, and no one really paid attention, because they did'nt realize it was Jack! Great actor.
Then there were the Hari Krishas, who would always try to sell me incense and flowers as I walked by. The women with the shaved heads were cool, and that gave me a great idea to try out on my girfriend in 1973, WAY ahead of Sinead O'Connor. Yogi
