The CCSI stock fraud....

<<<So 1000 units @ $5k = $5 million, plus a million lensettes @ $10 = $10 million,>>>

Supposedly, that will be the price at retail. What CCSI will get after the distributor gets it cut is anyone's guess. Furthermore, I don't beleive any of the lensettes have actually been ordered by the distributor. I am still scratching my head trying to figure out why it's necessary to install a new lensette with every test and why anyone would prefer this over the much cheaper and much more accurate blood drop test.

<<<On a happy note, ALTIF is below 5 again. Bill, I'm covering at 4 this time, don't try and talk me out of it.>>>

{sigh}...I can never bring myself to cover such an outright POS like ALTIF. I only short more every time it takes a pop.

Peter,

No. They said the "list price" for the items was $3,000 - $5,000.

Of course, hospitals rarely pay "list price" when buying things from a major distributor, as there are almost always volume discounts in place which apply to ALL products purchased from that distributor (Ohmeda, in this case). Likewise, major distributors usually negotiate very favorable terms from the manufacturer.

I'd be surprised if the committed business creates anything close to $10 million for the distributor's top line, and only a tiny fraction of the distributor's revenue will end up in CCSI's bottom line.

I am in complete agreement with you. This is my second trip down this lovely path, so I so hope it hurries up. My guess is that it will again pop up again and maybe we can get yet another chance.
