NTBK will need to compete against the non profit credit unions offered to all service personnel. When they leave the military, they get to keep their accounts and all the benefits. Navy Federal Credit Union is the largest credit union in the US.

Gambit, where did you get that information? Everything I have read shows that the average age of account holders at net banks is high and the people tend to be affluent.

I'm sure that the military has many people that go on to higher paying jobs, but don't you think that colleges would be the most obvious target for NetBank? They obviously will be making a lot more money in the future then they are now.
