While high volume reversals typically accompany
selling climax type reversals, these do not represent the majority of
reversals.<<

Sam i agree with this...

I think the situation is very different now than it was then. There was still a positive flow of cash going into mutual funds and equity investments and interest rates were not much of a concern. Now we are entering the summer doldrum period for tech stocks and money flow into equities has turned negative. Last year and early this year as the Fed was bolstering liquidity and foreign concerns made US securities more attractive, a few stocks rose in value while the broad market under-performed. More recently that trend has been reversed: the cyclical and value growth stocks have outperformed the high-flying sectors, including the Internet sector. You also have the stock dilution factor. Once companies saw how investors were throwing money at the .coms, many new IPOs and spin offs have hit the streets and many more shares have appeared as splits and insiders have increased the number of shares in float. The situation is much less of a sellers market than it was just a few months ago and about 25 more IPOs are scheduled through the summer. Instead of a scarcity of stocks being chased by a multitude of hungry speculators, there now are plenty of companies to choose from with similar stories to sell.

In fact, the volume pattern over the last two days in AMZN is very similar to
the last time AMZN reversed in mid-February from similar levels.<<

Volume is lighter this time.
