I am sure that there is more "country" where you are, but there is a fair amount here if that is your taste, and you don't have to drive 12 hours to get to the next place worth visiting<g>...I am a city boy, having grown up either on either side of the District line, and with most relatives living "within the Beltway" as well. Under the heading of "it takes all kinds", I will probably move back into the city as soon as my son has finished high- school, because I feel better in an urban environment. However, I do live in a beautiful spot. I am a couple of miles from the Chesapeake Bay, with a state park that permits waterfront access nearby; just down the road is the Severn River, which is a lovely,if somewhat short river with hills along the banks; closer still is the Magothy River, which is short but wide, and opens out onto the Bay; and there are numerous back creeks, which in this neck of the woods signifies things like very short rivers. The countryside is rolling, and lush, and the developments are relatively small and tucked into the landscape. Annapolis is full of historic architecture, from the colonial period through the Victorian until the present, and sits on the water looking out towards the Bay....
