I do not know...but I have been told that you can short any stock if you have an offshore account. Why or how...I can't tell you. I think Anthony@pacific has a site with alot of info on this. I am not particularly interested in shorting anything at this stage in my experience (although I understand it can be an effective trading tool based on the Motley Fool site) and have not looked too far into it.

All accounts. Now what I will agree to is that the MM do short stock,
that is the only way they can buy and sell if they don't have it but then
they are also part of a brokrage house. The're owned. Barring them and setting
them aside, I will have to say a possible no. (cringe);-)
