Dan, I did not realize until I read that article that jury nullification helped put an end to the Salem witch hunts. It seems the deeper I dig, the more good I find in this. Let's see, it helped establish that the freedom of the press, helped establish freedom of religion, helped put an end to slavery, helped put an end to Prohibition, helped in the fight for civil rights in the '60s. Quite a fantastic contribution to civilization if you ask me.

The arguments against are that there's no injustice to worry about anymore, and OJ got off. BTW, great argument that the rigged trials in the cases of murder in the Southern civil rights cases weren't really jury nullification.
