*OT* >>what do the numbers stand for such as 1's and 2's on cpq's chart? <<

They are degrees of condition. In other words, if there is a green dot and a 3, it is mildly over sold (just pay attention, look at the chart a little harder, scan for news etc since I chart over 700 stocks); If there is a 2, then I start watching the stock real close and put it on a watch list if it is one I want to own. A class 1 is severely over sold and ready to be bought at any time, all that is required now is a momentum shift or volume spike.

Note that on stocks like CPQ, when there is a major news event, market correction etc, a stock can be severely over sold or over bought a long time. That is where formations, patterns and news needs to be taken in account. Eventually when the stock settles back down over time, the indicators re-balance then can be used again. Kind of hard to explain but hopefully you get the basic idea.

NOTE - THESE SIGNALS WORK BETTER ON SOME STOCKS THAN OTHERS. They used to be deadly accurate on KEA but since the drop aren't as good as they used to be.

Also again, these are used in option trades and a sell or buy can just mean the end of change in direction. Often a sell signal will be followed by sideways action for a while. A stock holder would not care about this but an option trader could give away half his gains in lost time premium. I watch formation for clues as to future price action.

I won't have my quotes downloaded and charts updated for a long time still so no opinion about tomorrow yet. Also the morning release of CPI data is going to steer the market off the open and the bond market will take control from there on. I went flat today and will trade based on the CPI and Bonds reaction. All I cansuggest if anyone else is cash is build a short list and a long list and be ready at 8:15 AM so youknow which one to trade. Anything over .3% and use the short list IMO.

BWDIK,

Good Luck,

Lee
