OT: to thread regarding new DELL Pc purchase. Hope this is not inappropriate, but you all should know. We're planning on buying a new PC shortly. Is the 550 speed worth it. We currently us an old 486. I use it for home finance, and I suspect our 2 young teenagers want the game use. May do some LIMITED video editing from our digital camcorder. Wife wants to go top drawer. I'm frugal! Each time we go there, it seems that a few years later we're buying a new machine. I suspect many of you have faced this same question. We read a bit in the trade mags. Any insites would be great. PM if you'd like. TIA Joe Redwing
