Another area the SEC should investigate are the manipulative activities of the shorters that assaulted this stock and those that supported their efforts by posting innuendos and out right lies. When will you people learn that by crying "the sec should halt a stock" is just another old tactic employed by stock manipulators. Talk about red flags, You people are a riot. Very dangerous! Hopefully one day the SEC will do something about individuals that use off shore accounts to short bulletin board stocks. That's where their focus should be.

With a crazy press release like the one HITT put out today, why would the SEC not consider halting the stock until they got to the bottom of things?

I don't know the answer to that one. Sometimes they move quickly, but more often they move slowly, and of course they don't comment on investigations in progress to anyone, so who knows what they plan to do or not do?

A press release like this one should be a major red flag for regulators. Why are these things allowed to continue happening time and time again?

Good question.

I have to say that from what I've observed on the Nasdaq BBs that it appears no better than what exists in very corrupt third world countries. When the hell is this going to change?

The new law requiring all BBs (not pink sheets) to report to the SEC will be of some help, but it's not a panacea. It would be good if more investors learned how to recognize red flags, but there are always newbies, and of course irrational greed will be with us always. Unfortunately there are thousands of BB companies, and the regulatory agencies don't have the money or the manpower to keep a close watch on them all.

Now put your clothes back on, Evil Canadian.
