Why is my question so ridiculous? Doesn't Milberg Weiss et al employ investigators when needed to root out corporate evil? So why not just deny upfront that you are being compensated by Milberg Weiss? I promise to never mention it again if you will just go on the record that you have never been paid by them and will not be paid by them, in any fashion.

First of all, slander is spoken, so you mean libel, which is written. And yes, I assume Milberg Weiss would make whatever outlandish claims they think will get them the biggest legal fees, as there is little risk to them. Even when class action suits are dismissed, no penalty is usually assessed for filing a false complaint. Lawyers are usually protected against libel claims in law suits. A sad failing of our legal system IMHO.
