The average estimates for next quarter is only $0.15. That's why so many firms still rank ORCL as a holding.

SAP,BAAN, PSFT, DB2, Informix,..i.e. The Competition??? Really??? Naaaah!

Oracle vis a vis ERP Apps - Earlier tonight I mentioned to a neighbour of mine that Oracle had just released there much anticipated Q4 results and that my observation was that his(large) company's investment in Oracle's database and Sales Analyser Apps. was just that. A great investment! Whereas the money they'd sunk into there Peoplesoft apps. was perhaps unfolding as somewhat as an expense going forward. (i wa trying to be tactful)

As we rambled on a bit, we both conceded that in ERP apps, like many of the players in this industry, that Peoplesoft was more or less just another bit player and that SAP was probably more worthy of our focus vis a vis Oracle. After some polite but heated discussion our conversation pretty much laughably ended on SAP's bizarre and desperate decision to push their ADABAS database with their apps. Needless to say in light of Oracle's Q4 results I think we agreed that Oracle just made SAP's ADABAS and Apps sales pitch that much more difficult and less credible.

The bottome line? Oracle is King baby!

Thoughts? Opinions, Anyone?

John

I think ORCL will rally strongly for the rest of the week.
I see 35 in the horizon.
This stock is very undervalued under 30,IMHO.
