Evening Don,

How's the beach combing coming? There are times when I envy you Sir!

I think that there are two issues here. The first was the purchase of Answers.Com from idealab!. The second was the private financing that the company had asked Rampart securities to undertake on their behalf.

I will try to reach Ric Charron tomorrow to pose your questions to him. However, given the time difference and if he is available, I will try to post an answer sometime before noon - Calgary time.

Don, I hope this helps.

By the way, I bought more today! I sure hope that this strategy will pay off! Its hard to sleep with my fingers crossed - LOL.

Denise had posted earlier that the announcement at the AGM was the price agreed upon for the 400,000 shares 'paid' for Answers.com was /$7 CDN each, so the price was fixed and the number of shares was fixed.

Good Afternoon Don,

Here is the response I received from Ric Charron with respect to the question you posed yesterday. I have to apologize in that due to my on-going E-mail problems, I was not able to post this sooner in the day.

Here is the text of the E-mail . . .

Subject: Silicon Investor questions

Good Afternoon Ric,

I received this question on the Silicon Investor's Net Shepherd thread yesterday.

. . . is there ANY chance this purchase agreement was done at a floorless price - ie: for a fixed monetary amount, to be paid in with shares - BUT WHERE THERE IS NO FIXED RATIO OF SHARES?

The person who posted this message asked that I contact the company for clarification. I responded that I would attempt to call you to clarify this. Could you please provide me with a response that I can provide.

Thank you in advance for your response.

Here is Mr. Charron's response . . .

This deal was done at 400,000 shares period. It was done when the share price was ~$3.00. There is no floor or ceiling on the price. The $7.00 price was a nominal value we assigned to our shares at the time of purchase as a future value of the stock.

Hope this clears it up for you Don! Take care.
