Jim, i noticed this amazing parallel movement of stocks and the dollar; remember at the height of last fall's crisis JP Morgan was predicting a recession in the U.S. in 99. now the economy is running on all cylinders. i am also amazed that bonds and stocks have stayed de-coupled. in fact i have a theory about what that means. unfortunately it is 4:30 a.m. in my neck of the woods, so i'll post it tomorrow. let me just say that if i'm right, major trouble could loom down the road.

regards,

hb

ps: you're right the mutual fund cash level chart is a bit hard to read; it's the only one i know of. anyone have a better link with more details? btw, i dont think it matters much that there are more funds now than before - after all the total market cap of the stock market is in the stratosphere as well, so i guess it takes a lot more money to move it up.

good night all
