The big deal will be when telcos start offering mytalk. That's because while the service is likely to remain free to consumers all the time, telcos stand to gain if for instance cellular users use a lot more talktime by accessing their e-mail. I think given GMGC's relationships with telcos, they are best positioned to offer this service to telcos.

Two advantages :
1. Faster ramping up of users, since the telcos marketing effort and customer lists will be tapped.
2. Potential per user fee paid to GMGC by the telco even if the telco offers the service free to consumers.

I'm really excited by this news. GMGC is positioned at all ends from free services to premium services (potential ebay/intuit) to gee whiz and expensive services like Portico. Likely to make them the de-facto standard.

To all believers, send info of MagicTalk to all your friends - let's get some viral marketing going for the Magic.
