Elroy, actually I do like TWE long term. Compared to its peers on the factors you state, it does seem cheap. I just hope they don't raise the price on this. A higher price plus large initial float plus instable market conditions would make the risk/reward profile lean toward the risky side. Based on PE it seems expensive, but if the growth projections support it, it could very well be justified. Nonetheless, this is certainly one of the higher quality offerings in a while.

BTW, I have IOI'd at both Wit and Waterhouse.

No Confirmation Request, Dear John just in, No Problem...

If they sent out a second round of CRs, IMO that doesn't bode well at all. And I assure you that I'm not being negative because I didn't get the stock. It's my sincere hope that it does great for everyone who got it.

And the more I think about TWE, the more worried I become about its price tag. The brokers are getting hammered to death right now, and I abhor the thought of having to hold an expensive one like this for 60 days should it turn ugly. I was initially very excited about this one, and still very much like the fact that it's a profitable company, but I just think it's the wrong timing for a $24 brokerage IPO. JMHO.

BTW, Preferred Capital tonight put Travelscape.com up on their IPO page. I know zilch about this company, but Quote.com has it at their worst ranking, -5. Would anybody here classify it any other way?
