Here is how I do it. For the link, just right click the address window, than left click for selection, choose copy. Place your mouse pointer where you want to paste, left click mouse, & choose paste.

To copy text, right click and drag over text you want to copy, left click mouse & choose copy, than go paste.
I use Netscape but explorer probably does same.
