Bob, Thomson's is a tool. If I had intended to buy more XOMA and i saw a
preponderance of strong sell messages I would hold off. I am less concerned about the
manipulation than you are. There are good reasons why false messages probably are not
sent. The main reason is the names of all the sending firms are disclosed. So if my
firm, Jerkoff & Co. sends false sell messages and I have no stock when others come
looking for it they catch on quick. Now a conspiracy might create more of an impact but
one is apt not want to conspire with others that might even attempt to rely on some sort
of standard disclaimer to avoid prosecution. <g>

Kidding aside, you have made many important post that I pay attention to. But I would
be a liar if I did not recognize that Sluggers I-Watch post was of great significance to me
beyond following XOMA. It has helped us think about what is going on now, and
perhaps enabled some of us to buy more or at least not get out for a quick buck. It is
something I will check before I write another option or buy or sell another stock.
