Check,

It is that cursed 2000' thick chert-band filled Antelope Shale that takes so long to plow through. At Bellvue #1, I think it started around 14,000'. Things will slow down significantly through that formation - I think they were averaging about 30-50' a day, if memory serves me right.

Regards,
S&P

Morning Check,

I have poor knowledge of not only the geology but also of the drilling program and prior drilling experiences in this basin. And, I have enough trouble projecting how long it will take me to traverse 3 miles of city traffic let alone estimating the drilling time on Cal Canal. When WML say 136 days I suspect they actually calculate something in the order of a 122 day program but then pad it by 14 days as a modest cushion against shareholder anxiety !!<gg>

I guess they'll get there when they get there. I can easily wait as it's golf season (and I believe the prize to be worth worth waiting for). If they are earlier than their 136 days projected, everyone will be happy. And, of course if they encounter even a 1 day delay everyone will just believe them to be a bunch of incompetent klutzes !!

Meanwhile, ZZZZZzzzzzzz !!!

Later,
