Ian...possible strong day ahead. Look at pre-market volume and the spread!

Oppenheimer is a timely bser; obviously short. they have a strong buy on cpq and apple. and gave a recent price target of $400 on amzn when it was trading closer to $200. not to say the AMZN target won't happen; but you have to question the criteria used by which they pick and hold. having a significant base in SanFran, wonder if connections there with Apple have anything to do with their thinking processes.

The ratcheting down of expectations can be viewed as a good
thing for us long term holders. It obviously sets the stage
for potential upside surprises down the road.

I find it interesting however that last year, analysts bashed
the company for not participating in the sub 1k segment stating
that growth would suffer. Now Dell will be bashed for entering
this segment for fear that profits will suffer.
