TSE fines CIBC brokers over share buybacks

  The Toronto Stock Exchange has settled two separate cases of improper trading involving CIBC World Markets Inc., formerly CIBC Wood Gundy Securities Inc., the exchange said yesterday.
  In both instances, the brokers violated exchange rules on normal course issuer bids, which is when a company buys back its own shares.
