IPO of switchbord will be eminent in the short term...

NEW YORK, June 16 (Reuters) - Wall Street stocks are seen rallying at Wednesday's open as investors breathe a sigh of releif that inflation was slower than expected in May.

The May Consumer Price Index came in flat. Analysts polled by Reuters were expecting an increase of 0.2 percent.

''It looks like stocks are going to go really high because this number is very low,'' said Doug Myers, vice president of Equity trade at Wachovia Securities. ''It doesn't look like the Fed will goose the cost of borrowing,'' he added.
