Because my monitors are different sizes, I prefer a desktop on each monitor. To do this (if you want to)
1. Bring up your current default layout, go to WINDOW & CLOSE ALL. This gives you a blank desktop.
2. Hit the middle button on the desktop to shrink it. Then you drag it onto the larger monitor & size it smallish. Then you hit the maximize button. It should fill the one monitor.
3. Open your first window & size & position it. Then save default (quote or whatever it is). On to the 2nd, 3rd etc., saving each individual window as default. Finally, SAVE LAYOUT. Close & reopen. It should be the same.

Then you can open a second copy on the second monitor. I use the 2nd monitor only for charts & change it every day, so it isn't saved & should be closed first or it will default & mess up your other layout.
Hope this helps. As long as it works, I haven't tried to improve on it. d.a.

Click on the name of the layout you saved under Layout, even when it's already opened. It should go back to where you close it.

The resizing problem you describe is a documented bug and has been addressed in the service release, which is scheduled to be posted any day now. When it's available, download it and it will correct this problem.
