<<That's just plain stupid. It's EASY to increase the number of depositors. All you do is advertise more. That's never been a secret, not even 18 months ago. The challenge though is to MAKE MONEY, and no one here is describing where their earnings are expected to come from.>>

Mike, you are wrong. It is NOT easy to increase the number of depositors- at least not by 200%+ a year! AND, NTBK, as you know, is making money at the same time !

The increase in depositors, big or small, is great because it increases the word-of-mouth and helps establish credibility via the number of accounts they are actually servicing.

Earnings may not increase quite as fast with 8,000 new good accounts as 8,000 incredible accounts, but they will increase. Now, if all that NetBank can attract is $100 accounts, then that could be a problem. HOWEVER, as we already know, many of those accounts are great accounts.

It is my understanding, as it is yours, that the account growth has been a wonderful at NTBK and NTBK has had it from the beginning, but that growth rate is WAY higher than it was even a year ago.

In another year, what will the account growth rate be?

Think about it.

NTBK: $~ 31
