It is interesting to read the articles over the past ten days or so...everyone now seems to acknowledge that Rambus will exist in a big way..the only question is how big. If it even undershoots Tate's objectives by 20% or so, that still translates to huge earnings.

What do we need to confirm this entire picture? Where is Goldman and other houses on this stock?

Robert,

I was quite surprised to read the above, knowing your disdain for Intel. But what surprised me even more was when you said later that you don't own any RMBS even though you say the benefits of Rambus technology are only beginning to be appreciated. I am puzzled. Can you help?

My belief in Rambus technology actually has nothing to do with Intel. In fact, I think that the most widely publicized Intel plans for DRDRAM (Camino) as being a poor solution.

I do see DRDRAM as providing a unique and necessary solution to an emerging type of engineering problem, where multiple high bandwidth ports to dram are required.

As far as investing in Rambus goes, I've just never thought about it. My interest in the company has so far been limited to their product.
