RESEARCH ALERT- CSFB says global
expansion pending

NEW YORK, June 16 (Reuters) - CS First Boston analysts said Wednesday they
believe a global expansion is underway and will continue, to the benefit of Dell
Computer Corp. (Nasdaq:DELL - news), Royal Dutch Petroleum Co. , Baker
Hughes Inc. (NYSE:BHI - news), Alcoa Inc. (NYSE:AA - news) and Caterpillar Inc.
(NYSE:CAT - news).

CS First Boston said it reiterated its strong buy rating for Dell and its buy rating for
Royal Dutch, Baker Hughes, Alcoa and Caterpillar.

-- The firm's equity strategist Christine Callies writes in a report Wednesday: ''The rebound in the major global economies has
completely altered the profit and valuation dynamics for the U.S. equity markets. Former laggards should experience growth-like
acceleration in profits, while former growth shares should experience a value-like compression in multiples.''
