We were talking about room temperature.

Richard... Richard... my poor Richard.

Obviously you don't follow the superconductor industry. Room temperature superconductivity is the "holy grail" of materials scientists. They have already achieved it, but in forms that are not easily manifactured into usuable and cost-efficient products.

High Temperature superconductivity implies that the same quality exists at room temperature (which this private company claims their superconductive polymer does). If they are successful, it will revolutionize the world and create HUGE ECONOMIC efficiencies.

As for anti-corrosive qualities... I don't know of too many vehicle owners who can afford to weatherize their cars with gold plating. The stuff is just too damn expensive.

Maybe if eventually someday gold reaches some unsubsidized market price, even more products will be able to enjoy gold's anti-corrosive qualities.

One more reason to stop subsidizing an entire mining industry. A subsidy that miners of other metals don't get to enjoy.

Regards,

Ron
