This was/is a concept which has been perpetrated by the religious elite in an attempt to control the masses through intimidation and manipulation. I realize that virtually all world religions recognize the presence of a soul, but when one analyzes the power structure of organized religion, one recognizes the psychology behind it. What better way to control a group of people than by instilling a sense of fear for the consequences of one's actions during their lifetimes.

Therefore, to answer your question, no, I do not believe in the presence of a soul. We humans are merely warm-blooded organisms with the mental capacity for self-awareness.

Tastes Like Chicken

I really don't want to argue, so don't get upset, ok!

I want to point out that you can't tell me anything about a soul either! We can actually talk about the 'meat puppet' parts of us, there are scientific disciplines, biochemistry for one, that allow us to do that. Discussion of the soul, should it exist, has to wait until we know something about it.

Augustus
