It sure looks like we are in agreement. I have another question though, has telecommunications (communications altogether?) ever really made money without heavy government intervention? think of the original ATT?

I don't know if this will have anything to do with your discussion, but Charter Communications (Paul Allen) is going to make a deal with AT&T for telephone over cable. Nothing is definite, but both said it would come to pass. A source of revenue for both? TCI and Charter both serve our metro area.
