Don, in general, I agree with your comments about the exact discernibility of accumulation/distribution only after the fact.

However, my initial response was due to your statement to the effect that "for each buyer there is a seller." That, I believe is misleading. In a scenario where large blocks are being filled by a certain MM after he has accumulated at lower or higher prices - in some hypothetical stock that hasn't seen block trading recently - well, I believe that there's something to be read in that tape.

If there are indeed large block buys going through on HSAC, I'd be more easily convinced to buy back the shares I sold at 23.

Either way, it's good to finally see intelligent discussion here rather than one guy posting 5 of every 7 messages.
